Blue Collar Roofing’s owner and lead roofer Kevin McLin has 13 years of hands-on experience with roofing tear-offs, installation, and repairs.Â
As a roofing repair specialist, Kevin is committed to honestly evaluating each roof’s condition and only recommending a new roof when absolutely necessary.Â
He’s also a licensed drone pilot, allowing for quick and accurate overhead roofing inspections.
When not on the roof, Kevin is typically in the woods or on the water. He is an avid airboater in the Everglades and enjoys hunting and fishing in Terra Ceia and Sarasota Bay. He and his wife Melissa also enjoy traveling the US and exploring national parks. As a fun side note, Kevin is often mistaken for one of his favorite country music stars, Luke Combs.
Co-Owner Melissa McLin is also the company’s marketing director, with 12 years of experience in print marketing.Â

Owner Kevin Ray McLin Jr and his Father Kevin Ray McLin Senior, two generations of our 3 generations of roofers. Kevin Senior is one of our project managers and supervisors. Big Kevin has always been an impactful part of Kevin Jrs life always pushing him to excel and stay motivated. He engrained a solid work ethic at a very young age.

Nola is the seasoned pro on the team—our rescue pup from the Sarasota Humane Society who’s been spreading love and joy for over 5 years. She’s always happy to lend a paw at work, especially if it involves cuddles, snacks, or beach strolls. Her specialties include expert-level belly rub appreciation and greeting everyone like they’re her best friend. She taught Chai everything she knows (well… she’s trying).
Chai is our fluffy golden doodle and the heart of the office! As the self-appointed Woof Inspector, she takes her job very seriously—sniffing out good vibes, sneaking treats, and supervising belly rubs. She’s still in training (excuse her, she’s just a baby!), but what she lacks in experience, she makes up for in tail wags and charm. Catch her snoozing under desks or offering emotional support one paw at a time.
